Fat reduction
We treat fat deposits on the chin, hips, abdomen, thighs and knees without surgery and without a laser: with cryolipolysis or injection lipolysis. None of these methods is a way to lose weight.
Overview
Some fat deposits persist even at a normal body weight: under the chin (“double chin”), on the hips (“love handles”), on the abdomen, on the inner and outer thighs (“saddlebags”) and at the knee. We treat such localised deposits non-invasively, that is without surgery.
Unlike the other topics in this section, no laser is used for this. We work with three methods, which we use singly or in combination: cryolipolysis, injection lipolysis (colloquially the “fat-dissolving injection”) and ultrasound lipolysis [PLATZHALTER: Wird die Ultraschall-Lipolyse noch angeboten?]. Which method is suitable for an area, we clarify during the examination.
None of these methods is a way to reduce weight. They shape individual deposits at a stable body weight and replace neither a change in diet nor exercise. If the aim is weight loss, our medically supervised weight management is the appropriate approach.
Areas of application
- Double chin (fat deposit under the chin)
- Hips (“love handles”)
- Abdomen
- Inner thighs
- Outer thighs (“saddlebags”)
- Knees

Methods for fat reduction
For fat reduction we use the following methods:
- Cryolipolysis: The fat deposit is cooled in a controlled way, after which the fat cells are broken down by the body over the following weeks.
- Injection lipolysis (“fat-dissolving injection”): A fat-dissolving solution is injected into the fat deposit with fine needles.
- Ultrasound lipolysis: The fatty tissue is treated non-invasively with ultrasound [PLATZHALTER: Wird die Ultraschall-Lipolyse noch angeboten?].
